Overall: Great knife set at an affordable price.

 

For the last three years I have had two knives. One very old, dull cook’s knife and a random, lonely steak knife. A few months ago, while preparing my Beef Sausage & Roasted Vegetables, the blade of my cook’s knife fell off of the wooden handle. So, I said enough is enough, and I went on Amazon to search for a cheap new knife (yes, just a single knife. I assumed a whole knife set would be out of my price range). I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the Cuisinart Advantage 12-Piece Knife Set. I was really shocked that a brand like Cuisinart would have a whole knife set that was extremely affordable. While I was somewhat skeptical of this seemingly too-good-to-be-true offer, I ordered them anyway.

 

When My New Knifes Arrived

 

When my Cuisinart Advantage 12-Piece Knife Set arrived I was extremely excited to test them out. I grabbed  some bell peppers and to my delight my new Cook’s knife cut through the peppers  evenly and effortlessly. So, of course, I decided to test a tomato (the forbidden fruit of my two old, decrepit knives).

And again, to my shock and awe, the Cook’s knife (I didn’t even need to use a serrated knife!) cut through the tomato without smushing its guts out all over the cutting board. This was an exciting moment for me, as I knew right then that my culinary life was going to be a lot less frustrating.

 

After Using Them for Awhile

 

I have now been using the Cuisinart Advantage 12-Piece Knife Set for around 3 months and I am still 100% satisfied with their quality, especially considering how affordable they are compared to other knife sets. After years of using my Chefs knife for every cutting occasion, I have really enjoyed using the variety of knives (the set comes with 6) for their designated uses.

 

They Look Nice

 

The fun colors in the Cuisinart 12-Piece Knife Set make it really easy to grab the right knife quickly when I am cooking, and they brighten up my utensil drawer. I also really like that the knives come with matching blade covers, as it helps to keep them sharp. Plus, I do not need to worry about cutting myself when I’m digging around in my utensil drawer.

 

I do not have any complaints about the Cuisinart Knife Set, and I have already recommended them to family and friends who are looking for high quality knife sets at an affordable price.

 

Now, I am off to cut some bread with my beautiful serrated bread knife!
